About the Authors

Denny Bellesi is a graduate of Denver Seminary, graduating in 1979 with a Masters in Divinity. Over the years he has served in a variety of Church and Para-Church ministries. Ministries including Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, CA, Van Nuys Baptist Church in Van Nuys, CA, and Youth for Christ in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. Besides being an authentic Pastor that faithfully shepard’s his congregation, Denny is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.

In 1985 Denny and Leesa Bellesi moved to South Orange County, California to plant a new venture, which became Coast Hills Community Church. What began, as a dream for Denny, Leesa and their two daughters Brooke and Natalie has grown from 10 families to over 3,500 families in weekly attendance. After twenty years at Coast Hills and an extensive search Denny handed the baton over to the New Senior Pastor of Coast Hills, Ken Baugh, January of 2005.

Leesa Bellesi, has enjoyed a successful career as a Choreographer and Dance Instructor. She has had a hand in developing the careers of several
Christian Artists and Professional Dancers. Her dance teams have found their way to many State and National Championships. Leesa continues her career in Dance by coaching Cheer and Dance enthusiasts. Her real ministry passion for the last 30 years has been in reaching out to High School students. She is also a highly effective speaker, with a down to earth style, that speaks to women in every season of life.

Denny and Leesa, married since May of 1974, have just celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. They have two grown daughters. Brooke, married, December of 1999, to Darren King making Denny and Leesa Grandparents for the first and second time. Natalie married her High School sweetheart (Eric Johnson) January of 2003. Both couples live just minutes from each other in Ladera Ranch, CA.

Denny and Leesa became Authors in 2001 with their book “The Kingdom Assignment”. A book detailing the stories of what happened in our Church when Denny shocked his congregations by handing out crisp $100 dollar bills to 100 volunteers. Taking his que from the “Parable of the Talents” Denny gave them three rules. 1. They had to realize this was not their money, but God’s money. 2. They had to do something outside the walls of the Church to further God’s Kingdom and 3. They had to report back in 90 days what they did with their $100 dollars. What began as a simple assignment, became a World Wide phenomenon. The stories were featured in thousands of papers around the World. Their stories ended up in “People, Woman’s Day, Readers Digest” and hundreds more. Denny and Leesa were featured on “The Oprah Winfrey” Show and were interviewed on many National Radio Talk Shows. Two more assignments were handed out bringing about another book “Kingdom Assignment 2” with “Kingdom Assignment 3” not far behind.
